Taylor Swift as envisioned by Picasso. Or a 5 year old.
Monday night, as we were flying home from Universal Orlando, Thalia wanted to know what to draw in her journal. I pulled out the in-flight magazine, showed her the cover of Taylor Swift, and she went to work.
Now compare, if you will...

I think Thalia's is WAY better.
That is so cute! I bet Taylor would love that :)
"My kid could paint that - the sequel"?
Way better than my kid can do. Mine is no artist. Reading and math are more his style. But hey, it takes all types to run this world.
I AM LAUGHING out loud right now....that picture (this anecdote) brightened my entire day:)

Gifted!
She even has the right number of fingers. My own 5-year-old usually draws 3 or 4 per hand.
Well done, Thalia.
I tooooold you!
Ha! That's awesome.

That's uncanny! Well, who ever said Picasso could paint? Impressive research on your part!
Genius. But let's not call her derivative. She's starting a new movement Post- Pop-Abstraction?
Actual quote from Picasso that I happen to have stored in my head (thank you, A.P. Art History class):
"It took me four years to paint like Raphael, but a lifetime to paint like a child."
I'm sure he would have appreciated Thalia's work.
Taylor really brings out the best in all of us, don't you think? Probably you should move to France so that Thalia can really explore this aspect of herself.
She's a little Picasso, that's for sure.
She's a genius! Alert the media!
Or at least alert your family - that's pretty darn cute!
