I'll take Adult Party Favors in Inappropriate Places for 10, Bob
I was so happy to come home to my girls happily stabbing large chunks of fresh fruit with brightly colored toothpicks. Sage grinned at me, wielding her toothpick like Excalibur as she plunged it into each square of pineapple, each roly-poly grape. I reminded myself to serve food with toothpicks more often; for some reason it makes things taste better.
When I cleaned up later, I took a closer look at those toothpicks my mom had scavenged from the back of our kitchen drawers.
Oops.

Hahahahah! That is awesome!
That is HILARIOUS! And great post title. Love it.
No biggie. The toothpicks are just having privacy. Because they loooooove each other. Haha.
What a romantic Valentine's Day Post!
That is way too funny!! I work at a place that sells stuff like that and I always wonder what happens when the kids find them ... they just look past the "oddness" and continue using the item for the intended purpose apparently lol.
They're wrestling, right?
Haha, hilarious!!
At my bachelorette party four years ago, my best friend gave me penis-shaped ice cubes. I already dread the day far in the future when they're discovered by my son and his ten-year-old friends. Although I confess part of me also looks forward to it, because what can be funnier to a ten-year-old boy?
Now THAT'S funny!
No worries; the girls thought they were monkeys!
That is truly awesome.
lol. that is awesome.
One of them is getting a back rub, right?
Tee hee!
Also? I'm glad it was you and not me. ;)
Oh, I love that your mom didn't even notice.
That must have been some cocktail! (Sex on the beach? Sloe comfortable screw?)
Happy Valentine's Day!
OMG. The cocktail toothpicks. Or should I say cock tail toothpicks?
That is one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Thanks for the laugh.
Ah hahahahahaha!!
Excellent! At first glance - with the small version of the photo - I sort of thought maybe it was a "2." And then, not so much.
I just happened upon your blog via Boston Mamas link and this was the very first post I read.
Omg.
I'm hooked.
I've got my 2.5 year old son sleeping next to me and it was all I could do to keep from bursting out in laughter as I came to the end of your post and zoomed in on your Instagram photo on my iPhone.
Ahhhhh. Thanks. You made my day.
OK, that is some seriously funny!!! Thanks for the laugh. :)
Fabulous. And the fact that you actually have adult party favors in your house is even more fabulous.
Oh - and I'm also wondering if your mom has bad eyesight or a wicked sense of humor.
I bet that was SOME party back in the day... Thanks for making me ACTUALLY LOL. ;)
OMG! Too funny! Any explanation from your mom? ;) I just found you from tracking the Toyota story. I look forward to reading more of your posts!
